A portion of art sales will be donated to San Diego Pride to support their mission to foster pride and respect for all lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities locally, nationally, and globally. Formed in 1974, San Diego Pride produced the first Lesbian and Gay Parade in San Diego to celebrate the 1969 Stonewall Rebellion on New York’s Christopher Street. Thirty eight years later, the specific purpose of this corporation is to produce civic, cultural and educational programs, which support and encourage pride within San Diego’s LGBT communities. Their vision of having a world free of prejudice and bias is one supported by these local artists and businesses.
Artsy Fartsy is a free event. Art works will be on view until Tuesday, July 31, 2012.
